Silverchair is honored to have been named "Business of the Year" at the Charlottesville Business Innovation Council (CBIC) Awards Gala last night, and is proud to be in the excellent company of the other local honorees.

CBIC Business of the Year Award

“CBIC’s Business of the Year award went to Silverchair, a digital platform for scholarly and professional publishers. Silverchair’s clients include Oxford University Press, the largest university press in the world.

‘We have been able to get the most out of our proximity to UVa,’ said Doug Morrison, chief delivery officer at Silverchair. ‘We have been able to find people who want to live in Central Virginia while working in a competitive market.’”

CBIC is a nonprofit founded in 1997 with the mission to educate, celebrate and advocate for Charlottesville’s technology community and to accelerate technology innovation and entrepreneurship in the region. We thank them, our fellow nominees, and of course everyone working at Silverchair who make it the (award-winning!) company that it is.
