Our first relaunched ScholarOne Manuscripts user group meeting was held earlier this month in London. We had a fun and productive half-day session with 18 delegates, followed by a drinks reception that kept the energy flowing. The goal? To gather feedback on future priorities and partnerships, share ideas, and connect with peers. Judging by the responses, we definitely nailed it!

The workshops explored everything from the latest advancements and challenges in peer review to new opportunities in the field. Unsurprisingly, AI popped up as a hot topic throughout the afternoon.

To shake things up, attendees were handed £500 (fake money, unfortunately!) to "invest" in what they believed should be top priorities for ScholarOne Manuscripts. The crowd favorite, snagging 17% of the funds, was boosting data insights and reporting features. Surprisingly, an AI submission tool didn’t earn a single "penny."

We wrapped up with a roadmap overview for ScholarOne Manuscripts before everyone moved to the reception. The feedback was fantastic—full of useful insights and ideas that will guide the future of the product. And yes, people wanted more! We're already brainstorming ways to deliver even bigger and better opportunities next time, so stay tuned for more chances to get together both virtually and in person.
