At Silverchair, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. Our approach to data collection and marketing relies on a consensual exchange of information, which audience members may opt out of at any time. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, protect, and handle your personal information when you use this website.

(Note: this privacy policy does not apply to the Silverchair Platform and the services provided to Silverchair clients. See footnote for additional details.)

  1. Data We Collect

When you visit the site and opt in to cookies, we collect anonymized data that helps us improve the site and provide a more personalized experience without the use of personally identifiable information. This information may include your location, IP address, browser and operating system information, and device information, as well as details about user behavior (for example, the URL of the third-party website from which you came, the pages on our website that you visit, and the links you click on while using our website).

You may also choose to voluntarily provide us with your name, email address, and other information via embedded site forms.

  1. Data Collection Method

We use cookies and forms to collect this data. When you access our website, you may select the types of cookies you agree to. Because we respect your right to privacy, you can choose not to allow some types of cookies. In the CookiePro interface (click the green icon at bottom left), you may click on the different category headings to find out more and change your default settings.

  1. Use of Data

We use your data to enhance your user experience, analyze website performance and traffic, and provide personalized on-site recommendations. Information provided through on-site forms is also used to deliver requested assets, respond to queries, and to opt in to marketing emails. Data may also be used in support of business operations for our services, sales, marketing, and research.

  1. Data Sharing

Your data is used solely by Silverchair for our internal marketing and analytics. We do not share or sell your data outside our organization. This data may be housed in software and systems of marketing, web hosting, and analytics service providers (i.e. Google Analytics, Hum, and MailChimp, each of which is governed by their own privacy policies but which do not include the sharing of data outside our private instance). If you have consented to additional sharing of your information, we may also share your information consistent with your consent.

  1. Data Security

To help protect personal information, we have put in place physical, technical, and administrative safeguards. Your data is stored, encrypted, and anonymized by our trusted third-party software partners to ensure your information’s security.

  1. Managing Your Data

Using CookiePro (banner at bottom, or green icon at bottom left), you can manage on-site consent at any time. You also have the right to opt-out or request updates to your data.

  1. Data Retention

We will retain data as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless the law requires us to keep it for a longer period of time.

  1. International Data Transfers

Silverchair is headquartered in the United States. For international users, CookiePro limits the data it collects using geolocation. Our data partners transfer all data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and other applicable international data protection laws.

  1. Your Rights and Choices

In addition to the site’s built-in CookiePro tools, you may be able to set your browser to refuse certain types of cookies or to alert you when certain types of cookies are being used. However, if you block or otherwise reject cookies, local storage, JavaScript, or other technologies, certain websites may not function as expected.

Because we and third parties may use non-cookie technologies with your browser or device, browser settings that block cookies used in isolation may have no effect on the use of those technologies. To learn more about third parties who deliver tailored online ads using cookies and similar technologies, and how to opt out of receiving tailored ads, you can visit https://optout.networkadvertising.org or https://youradchoices.com. Using these opt-out tools does not mean you will no longer see advertising online, but it does mean that the companies from which you opt out will no longer show ads that have been tailored to your interests.

To opt out of Google Analytics, you can visit the Google Ads Settings page from each browser. Google also allows you to install a Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for each browser. We do not respond to browser-based do-not-track signals.

Actions you take to control the collection or use of information on one browser or device generally do not affect how information is collected or used on other browsers or devices you may use. If you replace, change, upgrade or reset your browser or device or delete your cookies, you may need to repeat those actions.

You may opt out of or unsubscribe from our marketing emails using the links provided in the footer of those emails.
