- Lily Garcia Walton, Chief People Officer & General Counsel: For nonfiction, I’ve got The Power Law, by Sebastian Mallaby, and my fiction pick is James, by Percival Everett. My go-to podcast choices are: The Tim Ferris Show; Huberman Lab; 99% Invisible.
- Emilie Delquie, SVP of Product & Customer Success: SSP is only a short drive away this year, so I’ll be listening to podcasts! My picks are either the Scholarly Kitchen or This American Life.
- Betsy Donohue, SVP of Business Development: I’ve got a read and a re-read set aside for SSP. I’m reading Normal Rules Don’t Apply, by Kate Atkinson, and re-reading Night Shift by Steven King.
- Stephanie Lovegrove Hansen, VP of Marketing: Currently reading The Fun Habit: How the Pursuit of Joy and Wonder Can Change Your Life (I have four boys: I need either more fun, more clean surfaces, or more wine), followed by a FUN magical realism fiction, The House in the Cerulean Sea, by TJ Klune. Podcast-wise it’s usually SmartLess, with some Moth stories and Normal Gossip mixed in.
- Sven Molter, VP of Product: For nonfiction, I’m bringing Evidence Guided: Creating High-Impact Products in the Face of Uncertainty by Itamar Gilad, and my fiction pick right now is The Long way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers. And for podcasts, Ologies is a classic!
- Hannah Heckner Swain, VP of Strategic Partnerships: Falling the week after Memorial Day, SSP is in primo beach read season, and I’m kicking off the summer with Emily Henry’s Happy Place and her most recent release, Funny Story, will follow. For podcasts, I’m listening to Sentimental Garbage.
- Samantha Green, Director of Product Marketing: I’m local to the Boston area, so SSP is just a train ride away! The start of summer in New England is the perfect time to read a local book, so I’ll be bringing Bowlaway, by Elizabeth McCracken. She’s a favorite author of mine and this one is about candlepin bowling (if you know, you know).
- Emily Hazzard, Product Manager: My nonfiction pick is Dispersals by Jessica J. Lee. I love memoir and I love plants, so this book is the perfect combo, exploring how plants and people make and take space in unexpected places. For fiction, I’ve got Through the Woods by Emily Carroll. Mini horror stories in graphic novel form, yes please! Podcast: The Lady Vanishes. It’s well-crafted investigative journalism exploring a decades old missing persons case that didn’t go right for too many reasons. I am still in the middle of this podcast but have been taking advantage of every car ride to listen to it. Runner-up podcast is the latest season of Normal Gossip!
- Deja Forte, Client Success Manager: With the sun, sand, and waves beckoning, I am all set for some beach fun! Alongside soaking up the sun, I am excited to tune into my go to "Business Casual" podcast or some inspiring insights into the world of business and technology.
