PI 18 recap

In Program Increment 18, which ran from late September through mid-December, the Silverchair team closed out the year by delivering several valuable platform enhancements, including:

  • Adding new configurations and features to Silverchair Composer
  • Upgrading the Silverchair Platform’s SOLR core to version  8.0
  • Rolling out support for peer review reports following JATS4R’s recommendations
  • Releasing our engagement-based affinity service
These enhancements, like those from earlier in the year, continue to make the Silverchair Platform easier for our publishers to use, keep us current with the latest industry recommended practices, and give our publishers an increasing number of ways to present their content and engage their users.

As we look ahead at 2022, I’d like to thank all my Silverchair colleagues for their incredible work this year. Since this time last year, their hard work resulted in the release of Silverchair Analytics, Radiate 2.0, enhanced article versioning, dozens of front end features, and countless tool improvements. I’d also like to express our thanks to our publishers. Your collaboration, insights, support, and trust guide our work and have created a growing and vibrant community of independent and society publishers.

I’m very much looking forward to what we can do together in 2022!
