The American Medical Association (AMA) Extends Partnership with Silverchair for the JAMA Network

(Charlottesville, VA and Chicago, IL) December 12, 2019 – Silverchair and the American Medical Association (AMA) announced today that they have extended their partnership on the JAMA Network through 2023.

AMA

JAMA Network publishes JAMA®, one of the most-cited and highly regarded medical journals in the world, together with JAMA Network Open™ and 10 specialty journals to offer enhanced access to the research, reviews, and perspectives shaping the future of medicine. JAMA Network also provides the JN™ Learning product, which allows users to earn and track CME and MOC credits through topics, year, and areas of interest. With a responsive learning product, practitioners can earn CME wherever they want efficiently.

Partnering with the AMA for the last 10 years has accelerated enhancement of the Silverchair platform, as well as providing a flexible platform for JAMA Network to expand their product offerings. The AMA has created mobile apps such as JN Listen that features audio content from JN Learning and allows users to claim CME on the go while also being able to review that CME on the Silverchair Platform.

“The Silverchair partnership with the American Medical Association on JAMA Network is an exciting and boundary-pushing engagement where we are able to jointly innovate, design, and create new value for medical professionals,” said Thane Kerner, Silverchair CEO. “I’m especially excited to continue our partnership with AMA because we can pivot quickly, embrace flexibility, and courageously innovate while taking advantage of nimble product development.”

“At a time when clinicians and researchers demand new and innovative ways to engage with medical research, opinion, and educational content, we’re fortunate to have a partner like Silverchair,” said Paul Gee, VP of Digital Product Management and Strategy at JAMA Network. “Their platform gives our readers the online experience they expect, while offering us the control and flexibility we need to develop products that support our goals and mission.”
