Travis Hicks  •  American Society of Clinical Oncology

Travis Hicks joined the American Society of Clinical Oncology in 2015 as the associate director of digital content strategy, with a focus on standardizing the content on ASCO’s diverse network of web platforms and instituting cross-departmental best practices. Prior to joining ASCO, Travis served as the director of publishing and director of new product development for Thompson Information Services, formerly Thompson Publishing Group. Travis began his career as a journalist covering Congressional education policy and is a graduate of James Madison University.

John Magee  •  Gale Cengage Learning

John Magee is the Director of Indexing and Controlled Vocabulary Services for industry-leading learning and reference company Cengage. His experience there over more than 20 years includes indexing, online product development, and a wide range of vocabulary development, management, and implementation activities. He lives in Wolverine Lake, Michigan, where he claims to be working out the proper design for a solar-powered pontoon boat, though his wife insists he’s just sitting in the lake in a floaty chair on sunny days.

Jabin White  •  ITHAKA

Jabin White is Vice President of Content Management for ITHAKA, an organization committed to helping the academic community use digital technologies to preserve the scholarly record and to advance research and teaching in sustainable ways. With a heavy background in XML theory and practice, Jabin has spent most of his career evangelizing the benefits of markup languages and related technologies, including content management, workflow enhancements, and authoring tools. Prior to joining ITHAKA, White served as Director of Strategic Content at Wolters Kluwer Health’s Professional & Education (P&E) Division, Vice President, STM Sales for Scope eKnowledge Center, VP of Product Development at Silverchair, and Executive Director of Electronic Production at Elsevier. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a BA in history and has a Masters in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University.
