How Aggregators are Helping Users, Libraries and Publishers Benefit from Change

Oren Beit-Arie  •  ProQuest

The higher education environment is shifting. User and institutional needs as well as use cases are expanding, while the spectrum, diversity and scale of scholarly content along with the way it’s published and consumed is evolving. Aggregation platforms– which sit at the intersection of publishers, universities, libraries, and end users – are in a unique position to introduce new opportunities for all stakeholders in this dynamic, networked environment.
In this session, Oren will discuss the changing landscape, highlighting trends from recent market studies, and will share ProQuest’s strategy to transform traditional content syndication and aggregation into a range of education and research technologies and solutions, enabling publishers of all sizes to benefit from scale, integration with institutional workflows, support emerging methods of research and teaching, increase content discovery and dissemination, drive more insights and usage, and open channels to new audiences.

Please note that the video for this session will be uploaded soon.
