(CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA/NORTHBROOK, IL) July 19, 2012—The American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) has launched the next generation of CHEST Journal and CHEST Books on SCM6, the natively semantic online hosting platform from Silverchair Information Systems (Silverchair). This new online edition of the CHEST Publications includes an all-new iPhone and iPad application going live later this month that will encompass the entire CHEST archive (all 77 years of CHEST content).

“Physicians and other health care professionals are struggling with information overload,”said Steve Welch, Senior Vice President of Communications and Executive Editor of CHEST. “A critical goal in moving to Silverchair’s SCM6 platform is to help readers better discover and manage the information they need to be effective and keep up to date amidst the deluge of information they receive daily. Silverchair’s semantic technology allows us to deliver specific content to our readers where and when they need it in their workflows and on their device of choice.”
